Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by. I invite you to browse my publications, view my editing experience, or send me a message. Happy reading!

Summary

I've always been irresistibly drawn to the writing life. My passion for the written word has taken me into several writing and English arenas, including journalism, creative writing, literary editing, proposal writing, graduate-level academic content, and teaching.

I'm a trained editorial leader and writer with more than six years of publishing and editing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills, a firm grasp of the writing craft, and knowledge of multiple writing styles and formats, with a special focus on poetics, poetry, and critical/creative synthesis. My editing experience includes working with publishers, literary presses and magazines, government contractors, nonprofit communications, and newspapers.

Writing, to me, has always been more than just a tool of communication (although, of course, it is that). Writing has also been a way to see the world, to take life in hand and make sense of the meaning that is often hidden in the folds of our experience. In this sense, writing has been like an extra pair of eyes throughout my life, enabling me to perceive and understand things on a deeper level.

I earned a Master of Arts in English from Liberty University, where I also taught as an English instructor for both online and residential college students. I also have a B.S. in Writing with minors in English, journalism, and creative writing.

My writing has been wonderfully varied across my experiences. I've had 25+ publications featured across different literary magazines and platforms, including being nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and my chapbook Scapes was recently released in 2025. I also regularly publish creative essays and articles for Solum Literary Press and write about poetry, imagination, and philosophy on my Substack Still Points.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about me or my work. Happy reading!
